This wind restraint kit keeps your roof vent from swinging too far open in a sudden gust. When a vent opens faster or wider than the auto-opener is designed to handle, it can crack the glass or damage the opener mechanism — both of which are expensive to fix. The stainless steel cables act as a simple limiter, keeping the vent in a safe range no matter the wind conditions.
