Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question before you order?
We’ve pulled together the answers we get most often about shipping, ordering, delivery, assembly, and support. If you still need help, contact us or schedule a greenhouse planning call.
About Greenhouse Emporium
Why buy from Greenhouse Emporium instead of a big-box marketplace?
We’re a small team that focuses on greenhouses & their accessories, not a giant marketplace with thousands of unrelated listings. When you reach out, you’re talking to a real person who can help you compare options, understand accessories, and navigate questions before and after your purchase.
We may not always be the cheapest option, but we do our best to provide honest guidance and real support.
Are you an authorized dealer?
Yes. We are an authorized dealer for the brands we carry, which means you receive current product information and access to applicable manufacturer warranty support.
Can I see a greenhouse in person before I buy?
We do not have our own showroom, but depending on the brand, there may be a display location you can visit, such as the Exaco showroom in Pflugerville, Texas (and some other places) or the Vego Garden homestead in Houston, Texas.
If you are considering an Exaco greenhouse, we may also be able to help offset some travel cost if you purchase through us. In some cases, we can also check whether a current customer near you would be willing to show their greenhouse. It is not always possible, but it has worked out before.
Reach out and let us know what model you are considering, and we’ll see what may be available.
Shipping & Delivery
How much is shipping?
Greenhouses and orders that include a greenhouse typically ship free within the continental U.S. Smaller items and accessory-only orders may have shipping charges, which will be shown in your cart.
Do you ship to my area?
Most of our products ship within the continental United States only. If you are outside that area, contact us before ordering and we can let you know what options are available.
When will my order ship?
If an item is in stock, it typically ships within 5-7 business days. Transit time depends on the brand, warehouse location, and carrier.
Some products ship by parcel carrier, while larger greenhouse kits and structures ship by freight and require delivery scheduling.
When will I receive tracking information?
Tracking is usually sent once the order has shipped and the carrier information becomes available. If you have not received an update within a week, contact us and we’ll check on it for you.
Where will the delivery be dropped off?
Delivery depends on the size of the order and the carrier. Small items may arrive by standard parcel delivery, while larger greenhouse kits typically arrive via freight.
Freight delivery drops your crate at the curb/end of driveway. Typically, you’ll unload the contents with the driver and the crate remains on the truck. If you have a forklift or tractor with long forks, you may be able to lower the whole crate using the liftgate. Plan for 2–3 people to help.
Tip: Make sure the truck can access your driveway and you have a clear staging area ready.
Ordering & Payment
Can I place an order by phone?
Yes. Many customers call us to go over options, confirm accessories, or get help putting everything together. In many cases, we’ll build the order for you and send over a cart or checkout link so you can review everything and complete the payment yourself.
If you prefer, we can also take the full order over the phone. We’re happy to work with whichever option feels most comfortable for you.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
In many cases, yes, but timing matters. Because many products ship directly from the manufacturer, changes or cancellations may not be possible once processing has started. Please review our Shipping & Returns page and contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.
What payment methods do you accept?
Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout. If you need to use an alternative payment method for a larger order, contact us before purchasing.
Why was my card denied?
The most common reason is that your bank flagged the purchase as unusual, especially on higher-ticket orders. The fastest fix is usually to contact your bank and let them know the charge is valid.
Another common issue is a billing ZIP code mismatch or a typo in the payment details. If you’re still having trouble, contact us and we’ll help you figure out the best next step.
Is it safe to enter my payment information on your website?
Yes. Orders placed through our checkout are processed through secure payment systems designed to protect your information.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We partner with HFS to offer financing options for qualifying customers.
If you are interested in financing your greenhouse purchase, you can check available options through our financing partner and see whether it may be a fit for your project.
After Delivery
What should I do when my order arrives?
Inspect the shipment as soon as possible and compare the boxes and parts against the packing list or inventory sheet if one is provided. Even if you are not assembling right away, it is important to check everything early.
What if my order arrives damaged?
If there is visible shipping damage, except the delivery, but note it with the carrier at delivery and contact us as soon as possible.
Photos of the packaging, labels, and damaged parts are very helpful. We will work with the manufacturer to send replacement parts as quickly as possible.
What if parts are missing?
Please inventory your shipment promptly and fully and let us know as soon as you notice anything missing. Reporting missing parts early gives the best chance of resolving the issue quickly before assembly begins.
I’m not assembling right away. Do I still need to inventory everything?
Yes. We strongly recommend checking all boxes and parts soon after delivery. Waiting too long can make replacement requests more difficult.
Assembly & Foundations
What kind of foundation do you recommend?
The most important thing is a level and properly prepared base. The best foundation depends on the greenhouse model, your climate, drainage, and whether you want an in-ground growing area or a finished floor.
For a deeper breakdown, see our greenhouse foundation guide or find the information on each product page.
Is greenhouse assembly difficult?
That depends on the product and your comfort level with assembly. Many kits are manageable for capable DIYers, but they still require careful measuring, leveling, and patience. It is important to read the full manual before starting any assembly.
How long does assembly take?
Assembly time varies by greenhouse size, complexity, site preparation, and how many people are helping. Product pages may include estimated build times, but actual setup time can vary.
Can you arrange installation?
We do not provide nationwide installation ourselves. Some customers hire a contractor, handyperson, or local installer. In certain areas, we may be able to suggest someone familiar with greenhouse assembly since we have a list of contractors our customers have worked with before.
