RSI Radiant Propane Gas Greenhouse Heater

$789.99

Features
  • Serious heat without a 240 V circuit: 18,000 BTU from propane, enough for a greenhouse up to about 600 sq ft, with no heavy electrical work
  • Warms plants, not just air: radiant burner tiles heat the benches and pots in front of them the way sun does, while the built-in fan moves warmed air through the rest of the space
  • Holds the temperature you set: the built-in thermostat controls the heat output, so you're not adjusting it by hand on a cold night
  • Starts with a click: silent battery-operated ignition; no matches and no pilot to keep lit
  • Shuts itself off if something's wrong: an oxygen depletion sensor cuts the gas if fresh air runs low, and a tip-over sensor does the same if it's knocked over
  • Floor or wall: stands on the included legs, or mounts to a solid wall with the included bracket

Description

The RSI Radiant Propane Gas Greenhouse Heater is the heater for a greenhouse that doesn’t have the electrical service a big electric unit needs. It runs on propane, delivers up to 18,000 BTU, and holds the temperature you set on the built-in thermostat. That’s enough to protect a greenhouse of up to 600 square feet through a cold winter.

The heat comes from radiant burner tiles, which warm the plants and benches in front of them the way sunlight does, while a built-in fan moves warmed air through the rest of the space. It lights with a silent battery-operated igniter, and two safety systems watch over it: an oxygen depletion sensor that shuts the gas off if fresh air runs low, and a tip-over sensor.

Plan on running it on the included legs. The wall bracket is meant for solid walls, not greenhouse walls, and the heater needs 3″ of clearance from the floor, 10″ from side walls, and 36″ from the ceiling. The hose is in the box; you’ll supply the propane tank and one AA battery for the igniter.
