The Junior Victorian Orangerie brings the centerpiece look to gardens that don’t have room for a large glass house. Its compact T-shape and steep Victorian roofline make it instantly more distinctive than a standard rectangular greenhouse — a place to be surrounded by your plants, not just tend them.
The sidewalls sit lower than the Royal Victorian Orangerie’s, but the 8′ peak keeps the interior feeling open. And it’s every bit a Janssens: rigid aluminum framing, tempered glass all around, made in Belgium, and backed by a 15-year limited warranty.
Small Footprint. Big Presence.
At about 116 square feet, the Junior Orangerie doesn’t take over your yard — it anchors it. The T-shape and black Victorian frame read as architecture, not equipment, so it looks intentional from every window of the house.
Inside, the shape works the same way it does on the full-size Orangerie: the entry foyer welcomes you in, and the wing opens sideways — making it easy to surround yourself with your plants while keeping room for a chair or a small table.
Built Like Its Bigger Siblings
Small doesn’t mean light-duty. The Junior Orangerie is built on the same 17-gauge aluminum frame as the full-size Janssens models, with an electrostatically applied finish for even, lasting coverage.
The integrated 4″ base frame gives the structure a clean, solid connection to its foundation, and rubber seals throughout cut drafts and rattling — with the practical bonus that individual panels are easy to replace if ever needed.
The Steep Roof That Earns Its Keep
The 38° roof pitch is the Junior Orangerie’s signature — noticeably steeper than a standard greenhouse. It’s what gives the silhouette its Victorian character, and it’s practical too: snow and rain shed off instead of settling.
Under that roofline, 4mm tempered safety glass covers the roof and walls in full-length panels with no overlaps — no horizontal breaks to collect dust or grime, and nothing interrupting the view from inside.
Ventilation That Thinks for Itself
Both roof vents open on their own: a temperature-sensitive wax cylinder starts lifting each vent as the interior reaches about 72°F, and a spring closes it again as temperatures drop.
That means the space vents itself on warm afternoons and buttons back up for cool evenings — no electricity, no timers, nothing to remember.
A Front Door for Your Garden
The lockable sliding door sits in the entry foyer — the natural front door of the T-shape. Because it slides instead of swinging, it doesn’t eat into your foyer space or your path.
And since it locks, the Junior Orangerie closes up secure — worth having when the space holds more than pots.

Shelving
Add a full-length seed tray shelf, narrow top shelf, or slatted shelving to keep tools and plants organized—and create an easy workspace without eating up floor space.
Door Upgrades
Add a low-threshold for the sliding door to get an easier entry or upgrade to a hinged door (which comes with a low threshold automatically).

What foundation do I need?
All Janssens greenhouses require a proper foundation despite the strong base frame because glass greenhouse is heavy. A concrete slab or a concrete footing will provide the most solid, long-lasting base. The key is that your foundation is level, square, and well-draining—even small twists can affect door operation and panel fit.
You have to cement the foundation into the footer for the perfect stability. Do not set concrete in the corners until the entire greenhouse frame is complete, level, and square! How Does Curbside Delivery Work?
Freight delivery drops your crate at the curb/end of driveway. Typically, you’ll unload the contents with the driver and the crate remains on the truck. If you have a forklift or tractor with long forks, you may be able to lower the whole crate using the liftgate. Plan for 2–3 people to help.
Tip: Make sure the truck can access your driveway and you have a clear staging area ready.
