The Janssens Junior Victorian is the classic glass greenhouse look in a more compact size—perfect when you want the elegance of a garden room without needing a huge footprint.
Full-height tempered glass keeps the space bright and visually seamless, while the steep roofline adds height and character. It’s built on a sturdy aluminum frame with tightly fitted glazing seals for a more solid feel than typical “lightweight” glass kits. If your priority is a beautiful, traditional greenhouse that fits a smaller yard, this is one of the cleanest options in the Janssens lineup.
Victorian Look, Smaller Footprint
The Junior Victorian delivers the same “garden room” vibe as the Royal Victorian — just scaled to fit tighter spaces and more practical layouts.
Full-height tempered glass panels keep the sidewalls clean and uninterrupted, creating a more finished look with fewer places for buildup over time.
Steeper Roof + Easier Snow Shedding
The 38° roof pitch gives this compact greenhouse a taller, more comfortable interior feel. It also helps snow slide off more easily than shallow roof designs—especially useful in wet or wintry climates.
Engineered Frame + Tight-Seal Build
A strong 17-gauge aluminum structure paired with rubber glazing seals helps the greenhouse feel solid and finished—not flimsy. The tight fit reduces drafts and keeps the glazing secure over time, which matters in day-to-day use and in windy weather.
Door Placement (Plan Your Base First)
The single sliding door installs on either gable end, which works well for most compact yard layouts.
If you want extra height—or you’d like more flexibility for door placement—this model is designed to pair with a stem wall. It includes glass sized for a 15 3/4″ stem wall, so you can raise the greenhouse without needing custom glazing or a drop door kit.
Hands-Free Venting
As the greenhouse warms up, the automatic (wax) openers gradually push the roof vents open to release heat—no cords, no electricity, no remembering to crack vents every morning. It’s simple, reliable passive cooling that makes glass growing easier day-to-day.

What foundation do I need?
All Janssens greenhouses require a proper foundation despite the strong base frame because glass greenhouse is heavy. A concrete slab or a concrete footing will provide the most solid, long-lasting base. The key is that your foundation is level, square, and well-draining—even small twists can affect door operation and panel fit.
You have to cement the foundation into the footer for the perfect stability. Do not set concrete in the corners until the entire greenhouse frame is complete, level, and square! Please, have a look at the manual or this assembly video for the Royal Victorians. They illustrate how it’s done correctly.

Do the roof vent openers require electricity?
No. They are wax-cylinder openers, which expand and contract with temperature to open/close the vent—so there’s no wiring and no power required.
Are There any accessories I should add?
We always recommend adding an exhaust fan because greenhouses can heat up very quickly in direct sunlight—even on mild days. If you plan to use the greenhouse in winter, you may need a heater as well.

How Does Curbside Delivery Work?
Freight delivery drops your crate at the curb/end of driveway. Typically, you’ll unload the contents with the driver and the crate remains on the truck. If you have a forklift or tractor with long forks, you may be able to lower the whole crate using the liftgate. Plan for 2–3 people to help.
Tip: Make sure the truck can access your driveway and you have a clear staging area ready.
